Carly joined the TSC Alliance as Community Programs Manager in April 2022 after serving as a volunteer including Chair, TSC Alliance of Michigan, and Clinic Ambassador at the TSC Clinic at Beaumont Royal Oak. In addition, she served on several planning committees, including the TSC Alliance’s 45th Anniversary Gala. Carly also began designing and making apparel and other merchandise to help members of the TSC community promote their advocacy and to raise awareness of TSC, which eventually led to creating the TSC Swag Store in 2018.

Carly is a consistent, supportive and resourceful voice for families and individuals, particularly in online settings. She takes pride in and enjoys connecting people, helping those who are in need and most of all giving newly diagnosed families hope.

Carly works with the Community Programs team to develop and implement programs that build, grow and advance our volunteer networks across the country with a focus on enhancing our peer-to-peer programs and strengthening Community Alliances to better support the TSC community.

Carly graduated from the University of Florida in 2006 with a degree in History and Business. After college she worked as a before/after school program coordinator for several years before becoming an elementary school teacher.  In 2016, Carly stepped away from teaching to care for her son Logan, who was diagnosed with TSC shortly after his first birthday. Carly lives in Metro Detroit with her husband Andy; their three children, Hudson, Logan and Hazel; and dog, Barkley.
