Sam joined the TSC Alliance in July 2023 as a Scientific Project Manager. While attending George Washington University, from which she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Biology, she worked as a Research Assistance for a cognitive neuroscience lab within the Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders Institute, focusing on learning differences within children diagnosed with ASD. After graduating, she worked as a Lab Manager at Georgetown University for the Cognitive Neuroimaging lab, focusing on brain aging in HIV/AIDS positive patients.  From there, she went to Children’s National Hospital to work alongside the Genetic Medicine Research Department as an Operations Coordinator and later Operations Engineer. At Children’s National, she was able to help 18 genetics research labs towards success, supporting them in daily tasks as well as long-term research projects. Research has been a passion of hers since early on in her undergraduate degree, and she is looking forward to learning from her new colleagues at the TSC Alliance. In her free time, Sam enjoys live music and caring for her house plants as well as her cat.
