Diagnosed with TSC at two weeks old, Max is currently in the 8th grade. He has TSC1 and was born with multiple tubers in his brain, a SEGA brain tumor, two tumors in his heart, and skin lesions. Like many on a TSC journey, he has since developed other manifestations. And while he is on the milder side of the spectrum, Max suffers from severe TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders (TAND) issues.
“TSC is a disorder that affects my behavior. I don’t like it or understand it, but I’m just going to go with it,” Max said.
