Chloe was found to have an irregular heartbeat at 12 hours old, with an MRI confirming her TSC diagnosis at 36 hours. She is currently a very happy and engaged 6th grader.

Chloe says, “The TSC Alliance seems like my family!”

According to her parents, “The TSC alliance was there for us very early on; we attended our first TSC walk when Chloe was just 4 months old, and she participated in the annual March on the Capitol Hill when she was 10 months old. She started having seizures at 2 years old, and we adapted to our ‘new normal,’ managing meds and EEGs and countless MRIs.”

They continued, “As parents, we firmly believe that early intervention and the TSC Alliance have played a strong part in Chloe’s development into a strong, intelligent young lady.”

Since very early on, Chloe has been her own advocate, speaking directly to legislators, teachers and doctors about how she’s lived her life with tuberous sclerosis complex. She’s a direct beneficiary of the TSC Clinics, and a participant in multiple medical studies funded by the TSC Research Program.
