I was diagnosed with TSC at birth and although I have a mild case of TSC, I have endured many challenges.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in Communication, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I currently work full-time as a Registered Nurse at Manatee Memorial Hospital. I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope to be a Nurse Practitioner and a spokesperson for this disease.

I live with my Husband, Josh, who I have been with for almost 10 years. We own a home and currently have a dog and a cat. I am thankful everyday that Josh is by my side through my journey of life because it is not always easy.

I want to help as many people as I can who are struggling with TSC or any disease like mine. I’m fortunate and blessed to be able to advocate for those who can’t, and to be able to share my story with the world.

I am thankful to be a part of the TSC community, even though it is not a community that I would’ve chosen for myself. I hope to inspire people; those associated with TSC and those who are not; to never give up on their dreams, and to live each day like it’s their last. I look forward to further research in hopes of finding a cure for TSC! I will continue to “ride the wave” and have “hope no matter how complex.”
